f(x) return with 4 Walls album

Last year, girl group f(x) cut short their promotions for Red Light. Since then, I (and many others) have awaited their comeback! Returning with 4 members, f(x) teased fans this past week with quirky and pretty teaser images. However, it's today that we've all been waiting for - the release of their 4 Walls mv and full album!

F(x)'s new album is exploring their hand in house music. This release is unlike their usual sound, however lately f(x) have been a lot more flexible in their sounds than other girl groups of the same label.

Tracks I recommend off of this album are the title track 4 Walls, Diamond and Papi.

The MV is quirky and well directed. It flows though a bizarre day with members changing between angles and frozen still in a forest. My favourite scenes in this mv were Luna cutting her foot in the forest and Victoria going under the bathwater then Luna emerging.  The girls looked lovely throughout the video, especially Amber and Krystal.  Below are some of my favourite takes from the MV.

I've looked forward to f(x)'s new release and I am not disappointed. The girls are well suited to this style and it's easy to see they've worked hard preparing for this album.

We're happy to have you back, f(x)!

Some people are born with direction but I guess I'm not one of them.....

I'm just shy of 23 and I'm still without a direction for my career.  I feel pressure to find a direction for my career and then hurry up and get going because I'm of the generation that has endless options for education and careers.  Even though I'm only 22, by the time I've chosen and studied for a new career I'll be pushing 30.  Isn't that a little too old?  I mean, it's not old.. but it's not young when it comes to new starts.  Besides, at this rate I'll be 60 before I realise what I want to do let alone achieve it.

When people encourage me to study or choose a career I feel like I'm being pushed down a path they wish they had taken.

What I need is a dream that reflects my interests but will satisfy my rational and responsible side that will provide me with stability.  What I need is a dream full stop.

"What do you want in the end?"  Well, I can envision what I want in the future.  I want a comfortable life (no bells and whistles neccesary) where I'm inspired and doing something that I naturally excel at.  I want the option to be financially stable on my own because I cherish my independence.  Except I don't want to blur my hobbies with my career because I don't want a pay check dangling over my head to be my only motivation for working.

The faint dreams that I have had in the past conflict with almost all of what I just mentioned.  I'd love to live in Asia working in fashion, running a well-read blog or any creative space.  However, making a living in a foreign country and supporting myself would be such a struggle that my pay cheque would become the bottom line instead of my happiness.  How would a creative based career provide enough for me to get by independently in my own country much less a foreign one?

Until I know what I want in life, I can't pursue anything whole heartedly.
I'll keep looking at what I love and wait for it to come to me.  I'll realise a dream eventually, hopefully....

2NE1 CL Shows Off Another Gorgeous Short Hairstyle

Known for her long bleach blonde locks, 2NE1's Leader has seldom changed her hairstyle.  Other than a stint of black hair in 2013 and her signature fringe CL rarely experiments with her hair.  So when she took out her extensions and cut a sleek new shoulder length hairstyle she was guaranteed to be turning heads.

Can she do no wrong?

Soojoo Park for Vogue Thailand

Being the stunning Goddess that she is, Soojoo Park has graced that cover of Vogue Thailand looking out of this world.  Soojoo proves why she's known for her versatility with this shoot.  Looking as fair as Snow White wearing black and pulling off sharp red eyeliner - who else can do that this well?

The one and only Soojoo Park in Vogue, enjoy:

Street Style

So, I thought I knew what Street Style was all about until I went to South Korea last October.

Forget that one week when Fashion Week hits a major city and the streets are crawling with the best dressed Bloggers, Stylists, Designers and Fashionista's. Every day was a parade of personal style on the streets of Seoul.  Never were two people seen with the exact same outfit on any given day.  There was definitely particular trends but each person tailored that trend to suit their own style.  It was SO beautiful.
Korea had a passion style and fashion that spread right down into the smaller towns I travelled to down the East Coast.  There wasn't even a poorly dressed child to be seen in public.  Everyone looked so great that I wanted the ground to open up and swallow me as I walked through Garosu-gil.

The first thing you need to know about Street Style in Seoul is Garosu-gil.  It's a shopping district in Gangnam with trendy cafe's and packed with all the best of South Korean designer's flagship stores.  I dropped $400 in about 45 minutes, it was too good.  You'll pay a pretty penny for clothes in this district but you could wear a coat you bought in the Subway on the way there (like I did) and people wouldn't look twice as long as you looked good doing it.

On every street there was small time Fashion Blogger's approaching people to get a photo of their 'Outfit of the Day'.  People comfortably accepted and posed for the photo's like they were just walking down the street with the wind in their hair not noticing the camera.  I love these types of shots.  Whilst they're staged to look natural, it captures what people are doing on the streets - just walking down them with friends looking good!
Garosu-gil is the place to be to when you're having a good hair day or just look good with no where to go.  You can walk through the shops and down the streets whilst appreciating and taking style tips from the people who walk past you.

Garosu-gil is Street Style.  Any Fashion Blogger with a clue is based there with an abundance of shots on offer every day.  These are some of my favourite Korean Street Style bloggers on Instagram:

Style / Fashion

Having an interest in fashion is not something that I choose, it's something that I can't avoid.  Seeing a new collection has my heart pumping and what I thought I knew about cuts, colours and design are changed and expanded again.

Having an 'interest in fashion' and having 'style' are two completely different things. When people with no taste make fashion statements it's never quite get it right ie. Rita Ora (God bless her, she is improving).  Having style is something you're born with and it changes like the wind as you expand your views and try new things.  I'm not one to take risks on a lot of things and I'm never the first to order that strange dish on the menu. However, give me any opportunity to try something new with fashion and I'll take it on.

There's nothing that compares to the feeling of putting together an outfit and walking out that door knowing that you look and feel good. Even if no one knows the designer you're wearing, for me it's all about the self satisfaction you get.

Style is something you have complete control of.  Fashion is one thing I constantly enjoy.  It's omething that I can't deny - even when my phone bill is overdue but my brand new coat matches my jeans perfectly.

Belongings in Transit

So I've been moving house over the last fortnight and I'm still not fully unpacked yet.  80% of my belongings are my wardrobe which might I add, I now have considerably less space for.  After parting with half of it and still short on space I have decided to be the girl with an eternally cramped closet. I'm okay with that.

Kang Sora

KANG SORA

South Korean actress Sora Kang is gorgeous and talented.  Doctor Stranger is one of my favourite dramas!  Admittedly I originally watched it for the Lee Jong Seok factor, but Sora's character made me fall in love with her.  Secondly, her body makes me want to cry.  Gracing the covers of magazines like Instyle, Elle, Nylon, 1st Look and W Magazine, Sora shows off as an elegant and charismatic Goddess.

At 24, she's fulfilling roles beyond her age at she has more than enough time and potential to build an incredible career.  I'll be watching.
